MEMPHIS INNOVATION CORRIDOR

The Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development worked with a consultant team to develop a comprehensive transit-oriented development plan for the Memphis Innovation Corridor.  The TOD plan is a guide for land use and development regulations, transportation alternatives, infrastructure investment, and neighborhood connections to ensure that the built environment along the Corridor supports the success of the city’s first bus rapid transit line and reflects the character of surrounding neighborhoods.

Although public outreach efforts were greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Pique PR supported the coordination, promotion, and facilitation of online community engagement, virtual community workshops, and both virtual and, later, in-person open houses for each phase of the TOD planning process (fall 2020 through summer 2021) and helped to build community buy-in for the final plan.  We also developed key messaging and communications collateral and managed media relations for the project.
